Veterans

Meeting the Veterans was like visiting a movie set, from Byfield Gordon describing with pin-point accuracy leading bombing missions in the invasion of Nunzio in WWII, to the chilling stories from John Koker a helicopter gunner in Vietnam.

Yevgeniy Zhupikov, "Z", who immigrated with his mother and brother from Russia when he was young because Mom didn't want them to be forced into military when older, then both brothers joined Army after 9-11 out of devotion to their new home. Hal Wilson, a fighter pilot in Vietnam who upon reviewing my notes later realized he was shot down and captured at the same time I was at the drive-in movies, I thanked him later. Pete Comstock, who if it really was a movie they would have had to bring back John Wayne to play him. Sarah Langley was a nurse and single Mom stationed in New Mexico in the 1960s and just might have been the toughest one of all. Those are only a few of the Veterans I met, now WNRO wants to expand military program from only painting for veterans to forming a group of companies that help Veterans in many ways. WNRO looks forward to recruiting a great team to serve our Veterans.
