Taking Care of the Caretakers
Meet 3 of the Boynton boys, seems like I remember us looking better but I guess not bad for combined age of about 235. They were each taken care of by their wives at this time; Lynn and Elizabeth in New Mexico, Richard and Carol in Alabama. This was our last breakfast together.I think it's the greatest gift you can give a person, the opportunity to live out their lives at home. The tricky and complicated part is, it's not the person at home choice, but the Caretakers choice and decision if they get to stay home. The Caretaker knows it will be hard, no matter who they are, no matter how much you love them.
But that's why I have so much love and admiration for you. I'm excited about this program, your loved one knows how much you give even if they can't always show it or don't seem to. I want to help them thank you and that's what this is, a Thank You. Time by yourself, lunch with friends, those little things you miss. You always do for others, now it's your time. I'm sure after talking to Caretakers there will be other ways WNRO can help, for example that "honey do list" that there's no one to take care of. Let's help Caretakers, they are angels, providing care and dignity to those who need it the most. This won't be easy, but I bet WNRO can find the generous and loving partners to make this happen. Get back to you soon about progress. Thanks
